Howard County’s Youth Engagement Programming (YEP!) Grants support free, accessible, and enriching programs that empower local youth through nonprofit and community-led initiatives. CAPA is proud to be among the 30 grantees this year.
This grant will help sustain our Achieve Success Together (AST) program, which provides free tutoring services to disadvantaged elementary students in Howard County, fostering academic growth and equitable learning opportunities.
United Way’s Neighborhood Grants support resident-led, community-driven initiatives that strengthen local connections.
As a 2024 grantee, CAPA is honored to receive funding for a program dedicated to enhancing community resilience, particularly for Chinese seniors in Howard County. Our project combines cultural celebrations with CAPA Cares, fostering deeper intergenerational connections and promoting resilience within our neighborhood.
We are proud to announce that CAPA has been selected as one of the inaugural members of the Howard County Nonprofit Excelerator Program! A heartfelt thank you to the Community Foundation of Howard County, the Howard County Department of Community Resources and Services and the Association of Community Services. Our deepest gratitude also to our board members, executive team, and dedicated volunteers – together, we’ve built this organization over the past 9 years! We’re excited to continue strengthening CAPA alongside other incredible nonprofits in this cohort!
